George D. and Alice Barnes Williams Memorial Fund

This scholarship was made possible through the Alice I. Williams Estate. Alice was a native of the Hillyard neighborhood in Spokane, Wash. She graduated from Rodgers High School and had wonderful teachers who encouraged her to go to college. She attended WSU in Pullman where she fulfilled her dream of earning a college education and changed her life path. She met her husband, George, on campus who was studying to become an engineer and together they traveled the world. Alice came to appreciate the value of nursing in her elder years. She adored her caregivers and wanted to help created a competent nursing workforce.
