Van Gemert Family Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Freddi Van Gemert, a nursing alum and former faculty member. Freddi graduated from WSU College of Nursing in 1972 and later completed her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas. She returned to WSU College of Nursing to serve as a disciplined, but much loved, nursing instructor for 28 years. Freddi passed in 2014, and is survived by her loving husband, John, and their five children. The family desires to assist nursing students who will one day follow in her footsteps.
