Risa Family Nursing Scholarship

Steve and Kathryn Risa reside in Bellevue, Washington and have a passion for health care. Steve Risa, MD is a 1983 University of Washington School of Medicine graduate. Steve is an otolaryngology (ear, nose & throat) specialist. Kathryn Risa is a 1982 WSU College of Nursing BSN graduate. Kathryn has worked in a variety of nursing areas such as critical care nursing and administration at Swedish Medical Center, along with school nursing for the Renton School District. Steve and Kathryn have two children, Allison and Erik. Allison is a 2016 WSU College of Nursing BSN graduate who is currently studying to become a family nurse practitioner, also at WSU. Erik is currently studying to become a physician and is attending medical school through the UW-GU Regional Health Partnership in Spokane, Wash. This scholarship is in honor of both Kathryn and Allison’s nursing careers, with gratitude to the WSU College of Nursing.
