Chris and Susan Marker Family Scholarship in Nursing Excellence

This scholarship was established by Chris and Susan Marker to honor all Coug Nurses for the excellent care their granddaughter, Petra, received while hospitalized at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. They feel Coug Nurses are some of the best trained nurses in the world. The Markers were so happy with Petra’s caregivers and thrilled with a successful treatment and brave recovery that they decided to honor the WSU nursing staff by creating this endowment in the College, in hopes of attracting and graduating from WSU even more of the best trained nurses in the world.
