Arnold and Marta Kegel Endowed Scholarship in Nursing

This scholarship was established by Arnold and Marta Kegel to honor those going into the noble and needed profession of nursing. Marta’s nursing career was cut short when she married and started a family. Although she spent one year in the nursing program at WSU, her time spent was never considered wasted; she carried many of her skills into the home and caring for family. Through the years, her interest in nursing has never diminished. The Kegels built a longstanding, successful engineering business, and learned the true value of a college education. Accordingly, they hope to return a bit of their good fortune students in need who have the potential to succeed. Arnold passed away from Parkinson’s in 2015.
