Karen Johnson-Doke Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Glenn and Kathy Johnson in loving memory of their daughter, Karen Michele Johnson-Doke, who graduated cum laude from the Intercollegiate College of Nursing Education with a BSN in May 1996. Karen’s long-term goal was to work with patients in cardiac rehabilitation. Karen and her husband, Jeff, were killed in an automobile accident on December 23, 1996. The scholarship honors Karen’s positive attitude and energy, recognizing her strong qualities in leadership and scholastic achievement. It is her family’s desire that the recipients will help carry on Karen’s goals and will be able to help others through the medical profession.
