Ruth Gellert Jackson Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of alumna Ruth Gellert Jackson who passed away in October 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a nursing graduate from the Intercollegiate College of Nursing Education class of 1978, and served for many years as the alumni representative on the scholarship committee. She is remembered for her great capacity to love. Ruth was a wife and mother of two children, served on community boards and committees, volunteered at local events, helped current nursing students achieve success, and worked for over 30 years as a day-surgery nurse at Deaconess Hospital.
