Ruth McGillis Bindler PhD Scholar Endowment

This scholarship was created by faculty, staff, students, and alumni to honor emeritus faculty member, Dr. Ruth Bindler. Dr. Bindler began as an instructor in 1974 and retired as the Associate Dean of Graduate Programs in 2010. Her passions were focused on nursing education, childhood development, research, and writing scholarly works. She established the PhD in Nursing (2007), and the Doctor of Nursing Practice (2012) graduate degrees. Dr. Bindler is credited with spearheading the successful proposal and launch of both programs.
