Carol Allen and Deborah Swain Global Health Education Endowment

This scholarship was established by Carol and Clint Allen to honor Carol and Deborah Swain’s dedication to creating cultural opportunities abroad for nursing students. Their commitment to the global perspective program and to the personal and professional growth students achieve through participating is the result of their vision as nursing faculty. The team?۪s first trip to Peru was in 2005, resulting in a formal course by 2006. The creation of this course has provided experiences in cultural competency and lessons about delivering health services in the global arena for WSU nursing and health professions students.
